not about 'net roam', but 'mobile roam' ... From this week onwards, incoming calls while roaming are NOT completely 'FREE' in 'AirTel' Chennai. Yes, only 150 min./month is free, if you cross the 150min., then rest of incoming call mins. are charged as per the roaming charges ...

AirTel person called and informed the same (Why should she called me alone ??).. and is applicable to all plans, including CUGs. It seems that other mobile service providers are reducing their tariffs (and also advertising the same), but, AirTel is now putting lots of restrictions (without even intimating the customers, but, luckily informed me !!)..!

The internet is often blamed for 'rising divorce rates' [link, funny!!!], but usually it's because people started having online relationships with other people. However, what if your significant other is having an 'online relationship with a search engine'?

A new study (from MSN search, Is there any bias here ??) finds that 'men talk to Google more than their girlfriends' [link] (Is this common across the globe ??) when it comes to asking for advice on things. Women tend to go the more traditional route of talking to family and friends. The article shows a few other differences between the way men and women search, including the news that men are more likely to ego-surf than women... Oh God, nothing to comment all about this .. save this new world & make the people happy ?? ..

I love watching the video for Sarah McLachlan's song "World on Fire". [Linked from web]

The concept of the video is that she could have spent $150,000 making the video; instead she chose to donate $148,270 of it to causes around the world. Really Great !!! [video shows about poors of Calcutta too?]

Scanning the list of donations, so many ways are there to make significant contributions to improve the quality of the lives of others around the world. As the world gets ever-more-interconnected, such contributions will accelerate the feedback cascades of our collective knowledge, intelligence, and wisdom. Good Work !!

7G .. !

7G Rainbow Colony is different. The film remains with you, and disturbs you. [Rediff's Movie Review]. What ..? Jus' another film for entertainment or time-pass ..??

Ooohhh.. after looong time, watched a movie (7G ..) on the release day itself (But, not First day First Show, but nite show !!), only in college dayz used to do like that (but why first day now ? Jus' b'coz my friend asked can we go today..? thatz it .. nothing planned !!). Mmm, somewhat nice one, Can I say like that ?.

'Sonia' performed well as 'Anitha', Keep up !!. Good songs & BGM by 'Yuvan' (Well DONE !!), nice screen-play by 'Selva'. Excellent background score & soft looking fotography by 'Aravind' with good close-up shots (esp. when 'sonia' on screen!!) in many places of the film .. seems like entire film is mainly shot in very few locations in Chennai.

'Kann Pesum' reminded 'venmathiye' of 'Minnale', but 'venmathiye' choreographed well. 'Ithu Porkalama' like 'Nenjamellam' of 'AyuthaEzhuthu', song in the BG alone ... 'January maadham' is similar one like 'Bombay's 'Arabi kadaloram' .. 'Kanaa Kaanum' nice one .. then, climax song 'Ninaithu ninaithu' looks like 'Sethu's 'varthai thavarivittai', (Is is so ??) but from different end/view.

As usual in Selva's film, some drinking scenes & all are there, can be avoided (!!!), What's in that, showing the same again & again.

song from 'SWADES' by AR Rahman is playing in the BG .. repeating the 'Ichu thaa' song of tamil 'Baba' in Hindi. Why ?? But, seems like the song in Hindi is nice one to listen .. How ?

A Chinese company has trademarked "Happy birthday" ( !!! ). The article says that 'The words "happy birthday" can no longer be legally used if the words are pinned to any other products, since a private Chinese company registered it as its trademark this month in 25 countries including the United States, Japan and European Union members.' ...

Illayaraja To Do A World Tour !

Great interesting news ...

'Illayaraja' has agreed to do a World Tour in the year 2005. Explaining it to the Press he has indicated that the proceeds from the Live performances will be donated to the needy.

First was a press meet after 12 long years. Next was the announcement that thrilled his fervid fans - next year he would perform live on stage for the first time with a 100-member troupe.

In February 2005, he along with his orchestra and leading playback singers will perform in Chennai, Singapore, Malaysia, UK and UK and raise funds for charity homes and orphanages.

Jus' came across, Interesting Blog post (in Tamil !!) about 'Srilankan Tamil Radio Service' in 80s and 90s.. really flash back my memories to those days in 90s (lovely dreams & memories past my LIFE ??), regular listener of those (morning & evening) programs from my school dayz itself. As usual I was mostly enjoying the songs.

During my college days, I was listening Srilankan FM Radio (I love 'Iravin Madiyil' excellent collection of melody songs !!, now-a-dayz, I'm doing the same with my own collection of songs in my 'Music Man' or from my official PC Music Server !!), Shakthi FM and sometimes Singapore FM (in nites) too. Along with that, watching Srilankan TV ('Roopavaahini', nice name, Isn't it ??) and other one (2nd Channel, forgot the name ??), even if those channel singnals were week in my areas, some(many)times. Ha Ha !!

Excellent song from the movie 'Kudaikkul Mazhai' (music by 'KarthikRaja') sung by alwayz the GREAT Mastero 'IlayaRaja' .. WoW !! Really Great !! As alwayz, I like this song too from him, yet another Golden feather (!!), even this is an BIT song, but with Good meaningful lyrics and nice melogy music, along with GREAT voice of Raja ... playing more than once in the BG now ... love it !!

M$ also moving to VoIP with LCS 2005

Microsoft Watch reports that the company is supporting SIP applications with its Live Communications Server 2005 [code-named "Greenwich"]. M$ also will use LCS 2005 as a way to gain a toehold in the Voice-over-IP (VOIP) space, according to sources claiming familiarity with the company's plans. M$ is also planning to release devices such as phones, and support mobile platforms. With its upcoming next-generation OS (Longhorn), integration with LCS is expected to be provided, so again playing their game ...

Happened to read our current TamilNadu CM 'Jayalalitha's Interview to BBC World's HARDtalk India with Karan Thapar'.. then, watched the video too, as I was missed to watch the same in BBC World ..

Personally, I've many stuff to comment here, but avoiding .. Jaya, one of my favorite personality !! (b'coz of few interesting qualities in her) .. I feel in that interview, she is soooo bold, calm, cool and responded well .. (except very few places, she's too human), I liked it.

I expect the interview should be more with Jaya as CM of TN and about the development TN, but unfortunately media still using the fame of JJ in another way, may be even doing just business (??) or making the discussion just 'HOT' ??.

Lot more to write, but again, What far ? Let's think of development and future, and not about the individual and personal stuffs.

Nothing interesting in the weekend to share here. Mostly, passed the time in office, but not able to completely concentrate on my official work [Why ? Why ?]. But, helped my colleague there in 'China' to do his work, and also again someway managed to skip few invitations too (??).

Jus' roam around the 'hp' site for collecting some technical details, there the above one caught my view, under 'Just for software developers'. Really cute smile, very rare to see such a Indian Woman still in those type of sites, usually one can see the 'white' foreign (?? what else I call them ?) peoples (talking, smiling, walking, etc..). This snap is almost in the centre of the page and yes, centre of attraction too [click the image to go]. Interestingly, I got the lead to my search from that page only. Great !
